Hootsuite for Business

Hootsuite is a time saver for buinsesses. It allows a business to check all their social media outlets in one convenient location. You can see who is talking about the firm and what they are talking about. We all knew this though, right? Let’s take a look at how Hootsuite can actually help your business.

One of the key features of Hootsuite for business is that you can schedule updates. In one sitting, users can post the whole week’s worth of updates. The rest of your week spent on you social media presence can now go to connecting with your followers instead of updating status. It’s extremely simple to do as well.

Another relatively simple thing you can do is update all media at once. A firm can say ‘what beautiful weather” to all of their networks with the click of a button.

The most powerful tool of Hootsuite is the research it provides. You can research what others are saying about your company, what they are saying about your competitors, what they are saying about products, what they want, etc. The possibilities are virtually endless. Hootsuite is a great tool to find any negative news regarding your company. Type in ‘NHL’ night now and you will see!

Another great tool for Hootsuite is the ability to measure success. Hootsuite literally comes with its own analytics ability that allows the user to track: Facebook insights, account growth, visitor traffic, keyword tracking, regional crisis, etc. Megan Peters has a great video here (about 1/2 down the page) if you want to learn a bit more about analytics.

A great video by Jarrett Holmes can be found here. I didn’t want to explain how to use Twitter through Hootsuite (which this video does), but it was really helpful to understand how to use Twitter through Hootsuite.
